The Naira, on Tuesday, depreciated further against the American dollar at the official window of the foreign exchange (FX) market.
According to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data, the Naira closed at N1,463.23/$1, as against N1,457.23/$1 it traded on Monday.
This represents a depreciation of N5.72 for the local currency against the American greenback.
The Naira closed flat against the American greenback to trade at N1,500/$1, the same as the previous day’s rate of N1,500/$1.
The Naira lost N5 against the British Pound to trade at N2,025/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,020/£1.
The Naira closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1, the same as the previous day’s rate of N1,200/CA$1.
The Naira lost N5 against the Euro to trade at N1,735/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,730/€1.
