The Naira, on Friday, depreciated against the American dollar at the official window of the foreign exchange (FX) market.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the Naira closed at N1,465.67/$1, as against N1,455.23/$1 it traded on Thursday.
This represents a loss of N10.44 for the local currency against the American greenback.
The Naira gained N20 against the dollar to trade at N1,460/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,480/$1.
The local currency also gained N40 against the British Pound to trade at N2,000/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,040/£1.
It, however, closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1.
The Naira gained N40 against the Euro to trade at N1,710/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,750/€1.
