Lagos govt appoints Mandy Kiss as anti-drug abuse ambassador

The Lagos State Government has appointed a controversial content creator, Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi aka Mandy Kiss, as a brand ambassador for the Lagos State Kick Against Drug and Substance Abuse (LASKADA).

The appointment was announced at an event attended by the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mobolaji Ogunlende, who emphasised the government’s resolve to partner with influencers in the fight against drug abuse.

Ogunlende said: “Drugs are a pandemic hitting our streets and communities. The government cannot fight it alone.

“We must collaborate with those who can reach as many people as possible, and Mandy Kiss, with her large following, fits into this drive. Everybody has a past, but our focus is the future.”

He expressed confidence that Mandy Kiss would leverage her influence to inspire young people and promote a drug-free lifestyle across Lagos.

Responding, Mandy Kiss described the appointment as a “new chapter” and pledged to use her platform to encourage youths to embrace purpose over drugs.

She wrote on Instagram: “New chapter unlocked!!! Officially a LASKADA Ambassador! Ready to stand tall in the fight against drug abuse and inspire our youths to choose purpose over drugs. A drug-free Lagos is possible, and it starts with us!

“Grateful to the Lagos State Ministry of Youth & Social Development under the Leadership of Governor Sanwo-Olu for this honorable appointment as an Ambassador of LASKADA.

“This is not just a title—it’s a call to action! Together, let’s raise our voices, spread awareness, and create a future where our youths thrive beyond drug abuse.”

The appointment comes just days after Mandy Kiss drew public criticism over her controversial plan to attempt a world record by engaging in sexual activity with 100 men in 24 hours.
