The Naira, on Tuesday, depreciated further against the American dollar at the official window forex market.
According to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Foreign exchange data, the naira closed at N1, 534.93/$1 as against the N1, 533.67/$1 it traded on Monday, August 18, 2025.
This represents a loss of N1.26 for the local currency against the American greenback.
On the black market, the Naira gained N10 against the dollar to trade at N1,545/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,550/$1.
The Naira closed flat against the British Pound to trade at N2,100/£1 same as the previous day’s rate of N2,110/£1.
The naira continued to close flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1, the same as the previous day’s rate of N1,200/CA$1.
The naira gained N10 against the Euro to trade at N1,790/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,800/€1.
