The Naira, on Wednesday, continued it s slump against the American dollar at the official window of the forex market.
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) foreign exchange data showed that the Naira closed at N1, 535.61/$1 as against the N1, 535.23/$1 it traded on Tuesday.
This represents a loss of N0.38 for the local currency against the American greenback.
On the black market, the Naira lost N2 against the dollar to trade at N1,530/$1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,528/$1.
The naira, however, gained N5 against the British Pound to trade at N2,125/£1 as against the previous day’s rate of N2,130/£1.
The local currency closed flat against the Canadian dollar to trade at N1,200/CA$1.
It gained N5 against the Euro to trade at N1,770/€1 as against the previous day’s rate of N1,775/€1.
