The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has resigned from the party.
Media reports quoted one of his unnamed aides as having confirmed the development on Wednesday.
However, the claim could not be immediately verified.
Atiku, three weeks ago, formed a coalition under the African Democratic Party (ADC) with the presidential candidate of Labour Party in 2023 election, Peter Obi, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and ex-Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai, among others to oust President Bola Tinubu from office come 2027 election.
