Wild jubilation, as Saraki, Tambuwal, Ortom storm PDP National Secretariat

There was wild jubilation Thursday afternoon following the arrival of Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Governors Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto) and Samuel Ortom (Benue) at the National Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja, for the emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party.

Tambawal returned on Wednesday to the party he left four years ago for the All Progressives Congress (APC). He arrived the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Complex, Wuse, Zonen 5. Abuja at about 1:40 pm and was received with a rousing welcome as party members went into jubilation and shouting the party’s slogan “PDP!, PDP!!, PDP!!!”

At exactly 2:00 pm, his counterpart in Benue State, Samuel Ortom arrived at the venue of the NEC meeting and was received with a similar rousing welcome.

The Secretariat literally erupted again by 2:50pm, following the arrival of the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki.

Saraki arrived the complex in long convoy and took him almost 20 minutes before he could make his way into the venue of the NEC meeting of the Party.

Proceeding at the meeting were halted for a moment ‎as NEC members, as well as secretariat staff and other onlookers, went into wild jubilation, shouting SARAKI, PDP.

The Senate President finally dumped APC and returned to the PDP in his hometown, Ilorin, Kwara State on Tuesday.
