The Naira sustained the positive momentum of 2025 on Friday, as it appreciated against the dollar at the official window.
FMDQ data showed that the Naira strengthened to N1534.05/$1 on Friday, January 3, 2025, from N1,538.23, gaining N4.18 against the dollar.
In the black market, the Naira closed flat against the dollar at N1,665/$1, same as the previous rate of N1,665/$1.
However, the Naira gained N10 against the British Pound to trade at N2,150/£1, as against the previous day’s rate of N2,160/£1.
The Naira continues to hold steady against the Canadian Dollar at N1,280/CA$1.
The national currency also gained N10 against the Euro to trade at N1,730/€1, as against the previous day’s rate of N1,740/€1.
