Operatives of the Lagos Police Command have arrested a Nigerian TikToker – Seaking – for allegedly insulting President Bola Tinubu, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.
Seaking’s arrest comes hours after releasing a video on Saturday, December 20, hurling tirades at Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, and Egbetokun.
Seaking’s remarks against the president, and Lagos State governor was in reaction to the Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi’s statement that the security agency will begin arresting anyone who insults government officials.
Expressing anger, Seaking wondered why the police would attempt to go after anyone who insults them and not after criminals.
In a video circulating on social media, the Tiktoker looked sobre, while some security agents were seen interrogating him.
