Tinubu devising new strategies to tackle security challenges, says CoS Gbajabiamila

* Defends fuel subsidy removal as best for Nigeria

Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, has assured that the government is working round the clock to tackle the security challenges facing the country.

Gbajabiamila stated this on Saturday after casting his vote at Unit 14, Ward G2, Elizabeth Fowler Primary School, Masha, Surulere, Lagos.

The former Speaker of the House of Representatives said President Tinubu has devised new strategies to deal with the security situation.

He said the security challenges are not peculiar to Nigeria, urging Nigerians to rally around the President and be their brother’s keepers by reporting suspicious movements to security agents to nib the activities of bandits and kidnappers in the bud.

On the harsh economic situation occasioned by fuel subsidy removal, Gbajabiamila noted that the removal of fuel subsidy was inevitable, considering that the country was being defrauded by some people who were benefiting from the scheme.

He, however, assured Nigerians that things would improve with measures put in place by President Tinubu to address some of the identified issues causing the hardship.

He also expressed the hope that whoever emerged as the winner at the election would be monitored to ensure that he performs beyond where he stopped.
