An Abuja-based street beggar, who has a set of triplets, has been ‘arrested’ after she refused to quit street begging despite receiving over N1million in financial aid from a good Samaritan.
A video trending on social media captured the moment an beggar was accosted by a good Samaritan who had raised funds to support her.
According to reports, the beggar had received financial assistance of over one million Naira, from which an apartment was rented to settle her, and a business opened for her.
It was, however, a shock when the woman was spotted still begging with her baby triplets. That triggered her arrest as seen in a video where she was taken to a police station to write an undertaking.
The good Samaritan emphasized the efforts it took to gather the money for the woman, while regretting his actions.
