Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has cast his vote at the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly elections.
The governor, who is contesting for a second term in office, voted at PU06, Eiyekole, Adeniji Adele, alongside his wife.
Speaking with Journalists after casting his ballot, Sanwo-Olu commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for arriving early and starting the voting process on time.
Sanwo-Olu, who condemned any form of voter intimidation, however, urged security operatives to ensure a peaceful poll in the State.
Governor Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) is facing off against other front runners including Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the LP and Abdul-Azeez Adediran of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Lagos State governorship election is a major point of interest, as the opposition Labour Party (LP) has gained a strong foothold, following the party’s surprise win in the State at the presidential election.
