Operatives of the INTERPOL comprising Benin Republic and Nigerian officers have arrested one Nnamdi Emeh, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, who doubles as the blogger of a gossip site – Gistlover.

He was reportedly arrested on March 3, in Benin Republic after nearly two weeks of evading arrest.

Earlier on February 20, the 26-year-old Nnamdi had been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for allegedly impersonation of an Assistant Superintendent of Police, and defamation of character.

Nnamdi was arrested in a joint operation by INTERPOL operatives in Benin Republic and Nigeria in connection with allegations that top police officers in Anambra State Command are involved in kidnapping and killing of suspects after extorting them, and human organ trafficking.

According to a report by the African Independent Television (AIT), Emeh Daniel Nnamdi is an IT expert, who started impersonating personnel of the Nigeria Police Force while serving as a tracker in the Anambra Police Command.

The suspect, who is currently in Police custody in Abuja, is said to be the son of Professor JK Emeh.
