Kaduna govt, Cuba sign medical cooperation agreement

Cuba’s Medical Services Company and Kaduna State government have signed an agreement for exchanges in the health sector, which includes sending students to the Caribbean island to study medicine.

Once the students finish their medical studies, they will offer their services in health institutions in Kaduna State, according to agency report.

The Cuban ambassador to Nigeria, Carlos Trejo, attended the signing of the accord and offered current information on the island’s primary health system and the achievements of Cuban Biotechnology in the world, especially Heberprot-P, product presented in Abuja.

Heberprot-P is a product created by the Cuban Biotechnology Industry with healing qualities for diabetic foot ulcers which prevents amputations and improves the quality of life of the patients with the ailment.

Commissioners of Health, Education, Technological Science and Environment and the main Advisor of the Kaduna State governor were present at the ceremony.
