Former US President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle are celebrating 30 years of marriage.
Obama, who served as the 44th President of the United States from 2009 to 2017, met Miche, as he fondly calls his beau, in 1989 while he was a summer associate at her law office.
That summer they went on their first date and tied the knot three years later in October 3, 1992.
In 1998 the couple had Malia, and in 2001, they had their second daughter Sasha.
Celebrating three decades of marriage, the first African-American President of the US shared throwback and recent photos with his wife, noting that he won a lottery the day he married her.
Obama tweeted: “Miche, After 30 years, I’m not sure why you look exactly the same and I don’t. I do know that I won the lottery that day—that I couldn’t have asked for a better life partner. Happy anniversary, sweetheart!”
The former first lady also shared throwback wedding photo with ‘the man she loves’ alongside a recent one.
She expressed gratitude to have her hubby by her side these past 30 years while reaffirming her love for him.
Miche wrote: “Happy anniversary to the man I love! These last 30 years have been an adventure, and I’m grateful to have you by my side. Here’s to a lifetime together. I love you, @BarackObama!”
