The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has recovered an additional sum of N1.4 billion for the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
The recovery was disclosed through a statement issued on Tuesday by the EFCC Head, Media and Publicity, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren.
Uwujaren noted that the money, which was released to the NHIS on August 5, 2022, was part of the funds some commercial banks refused to transmit to the Treasury Single Account (TSA) since 2015.
Similarly on February 10, the EFCC released N1.5 billion to the NHIS.
