The Police in Ekiti State have arrested four men aged between 19 and 22 for allegedly gang-raping a 28-year-old lady.
Spokesman of the Police, Sunday Abutu, disclosed that the suspects were apprehended by the Juvenile Welfare Centre (JWC) of the State CID.
Abutu said the lady’s boyfriend – Victor – now on the run, lured her to a hotel room in Ado metropolis where she was gang-raped and recorded in a video clip after which it was posted on social media via Tik-Tok.
They were said to be a group of friends who drink alcohol and smoking weed together.
At the hotel, “she was offered one of the bottles of drink that she took and became unconscious. She regained her consciousness only to discover that one of the suspects was having sexual intercourse with her while others were videotaping them and making fun of her.
“The victim said she begged them to conceal the video and delete it but to her surprise, the video was later posted on the social media via Tik-Tok.
“She reported the case to the police,” Abutu said.
