Apparently led by God to rescue Nigeria from hopelessness, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa is set to make a formal declaration seeking to contest the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.

Ohuabunwa, a former Chairman of Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) and President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN), has shown interest in the office of President, and he would seek the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to realize his ambition.

To that effect, the New Nigeria Group (NNG) – a huge political platform of believers in great possibilities for Nigeria with ideology anchored on the pillars of prosperity, integrity, justice and security, has set Monday, November 8 for Ohuabunwa’s formal announcement  in Abuja.

All the chapters of the NNG have been mobilizing not only their members but also other Nigerians who have already keyed into Ohuabunwa’s great vision for the country, to attend the ceremony.

Theme of the declaration is: “Rebuilding Nigeria for Prosperity and Global Competitiveness”.

Ohuabunwa said at the weekend: “I write to officially invite you to the official announcement of my intention to contest for the Office of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“This decision is borne out of extensive prayers, consultations, interactions and reflection with Nigerians and friends of Nigeria.

“The announcement is part of an engaging process which aims to restore the economic, political and social dignity of Nigeria. The outcome from this extensive consultative process can be best encapsulated in the vision to “Rebuild Nigeria for Prosperity and Global Competitiveness”.

Venue of the declaration is the Aso Hall, International Conference Centre, Abuja, at 11am.
