The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced a postponement of its first Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting for this year by three days.
The apex bank made the disclosure via a short statement by its Director of Corporate Communication, Mr. Isaac Okorafor, in Abuja.
The statement read:
The first meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the
Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for 2020, earlier slated to hold on
Monday and Tuesday, January 20 and 21, 2020, respectively, has
now been rescheduled for Thursday and Friday, January 23 and 24,
2020.
The CBN regrets any inconvenience this change may have caused its
stakeholders and the general public.
