Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has again criticised President Bola Tinubu.
In a statement issued on Saturday by his spokesperson, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said Tinubu’s abysmal economic record is enough to justify his sack from the Presidential Villa in 2027.
According to Atiku, under Tinubu’s administration, the Naira depreciated to N1,329 per dollar from N471 per dollar.
His response came after Tinubu, in his remarks at the flag-off of his re-election campaign in Kaduna on Saturday, blamed his opponents for poverty and hunger in Nigeria.
Reacting, Atiku told Tinubu that the economic hardship his administration his inflicted on Nigerians is real.
“You cannot deny it by blaming others,” he said.
He stressed that the Naira depreciated significantly under Tinubu’s administration.
“Which administration removed the petrol subsidy and watched the Naira fall from about N471 to N1,329 to the dollar?”
Atiku accused Tinubu of being delusional over his comments attributing poverty and hunger to his opponents.
