FCCPC, NAFDAC, SON strategize on fake, unwholesome products

The Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) have strategized on measures to tackle the rising circulation of fake and unwholesome products in Nigerian markets.

The strategic engagement was hosted by the FCCPC at its Corporate Headquarters in Asokoro, Abuja, on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

The meeting brought together senior officials from the three agencies, including FCCPC Executive Commissioner (Operations), Mr. Louis Odion, and representatives of NAFDAC and SON. The engagement focused on strengthening regulatory collaboration and developing coordinated measures to protect consumers from unsafe, counterfeit and substandard products.
