The All Progressive Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has adopted spiritual approach as part of the strategies to ensure the reelection of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
Thus, the campaign team has commenced visitation of high-profile Islamic and Christian clerics across the country, seeking for their prayers and spiritual guidance for the victory of President Tinubu.
In Kano, the state Deputy Governor, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, led the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Director General, Senator AbdulAziz Yari, and his entourage to the residence of the African Leader of the Qadiriyya Sect, Sheikh Qaribullah Nasiru Kabara.
Yari, who was accompanied by the immediate-past National Chairman of APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; Senator Ali Modu Sberif; Senator Aliero; Chief James Faleke; Alhaji Aminu Masari, among other top APC chieftains, paid a courtesy call to Sheikh Kabara, where he appealed for his support and blessings over President Tinubu’s reelection bid.
According to Yari, APC Presidential Campaign Council has adopted Town Hall Meetings with Nigerians, as well as meetings with religious leaders, as first moves to unveil President Tinubu’s reelection campaign.
Yari said the Council is fully prepared to directly hear from Nigerians, what they need President Tinubu to do for them, “that is why we adopted the Town Hall engagements as our first module.
“We are aware that many Nigerians are eager to hear from us. For this reason, rather than commencing campaign rallies, we have chosen to respect the citizens and meet them face to face in Town Hall Meetings.”
He further stated that, “this idea gives us real insight of the feelings and needs of Nigerians, and as well, quickly find solutions to them. We go to religious leaders because we know they talk to their followers during sermons. They know the aspirations and needs of their followers.
“We are in Kano to seek the blessings and spiritual guidance of the Sheiks. We were in Bauchi, Jos, Kaduna and now Kano. We met with Izala, Tijjaniyya and now we are meeting with Qadiriyya Sect, because we believe Allah guidance in everything is the first thing one will require. ”
Yari, also reminded Nigerians that President Tinubu’s administration is gradually stabilizing the economy, insisting that, “Nigerians will soon begin to enjoy the real economic blueprint of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.”
According to him, President Tinubu has adopted continuity in governance, “because all the uncompleted and abandoned projects by his predecessors, are carried over, while many have been completed, others are nearing completion.
“Take for instance, the Kano-Maradi-Zindar rail line project; the Kano, Kaduna to Abuja rail line project, as well as, the Kano, Kaduna, Abuja Road project, together with AKKK Gas pipelines projects. All these projects are set to be completed before next year.
“This shows that President Tinubu has concerns for every part of Nigeria and he means well for the country. Very soon, Nigerians will enjoy peace because security has greatly improved, and citizens will begin to feel it soon.”
Speaking earlier, the Deputy Governor of Kano state, Murtala Sule Garo, assured the APC Presidential Campaign Council of Kano’s full support for the reelection of President Tinubu in 2027.
Garo acknowledged the fact that, “Kano has benefitted, and is still benefiting from the tremendous, good governance of the APC government at the state and national levels.”
Sheikh Qaribullah Nasiru Kabara, the leader of the Qadiriyya Sect, in his remarks, promised their full support for President Tinubu’s reelection bid.
