Eze Aro, His Eminence Dr. Eberechukwu Oji, has urged the people of Arochukwu Kingdom to eschew negative behaviour and social vices capable of painting the kingdom in bad light.
The first class monarch gave the admonition during an Open Air Christian devotion to herald events lined up for second anniversary of his coronation as Eze Aro IX of Arochukwu Kingdom.
Speaking at the open-air crusade on Wednesday, Eze Eberechukwu Oji said it would be unacceptable for any Aro son or daughter to be found indulging or associated with acts dishonouring the State or the country.
Citing the testimony of the late Pastor Uma Ukpai, who dedicated the Royal Stool to God at the inception of his reign, he stated that what was meant for evil turned around for good, as the late preacher testified to the greatness of the kingdom.
While applauding the exploits of Governor Dr. Alex Otti and the infrastructural strides of his administration, including the construction of roads, rehabilitation of the General Hospital, which had long been neglected, and other development projects across the State, Eze Eberechuku Oji reminded the people that the governor, being a son of the soil, has delivered on his mandate, urging the people to consolidate on this work by ensuring it progresses swiftly and seamlessly.
He assured the people of God’s faithfulness, especially when they are doing the right thing, emphasizing that God never abandons His own people.
In his sermon, Pastor John Ajibowo prayed that, as good things have begun in Arochukwu, the light of God would envelop the kingdom.
He stated that the kingdom would become God’s Kingdom, bringing progress and never retrogression, while ensuring that His light continues to shine upon families.
Pastor Sunny Wogu advised the people to have faith in their prayers, saying that faith is the only way to receive answers to prayer. He urged the people to pray for their leaders, as that is the best way to ensure they think and work for the people.
Contributing, Mrs. Gloria Egbu Okoro, the wife of Eze Ibom Isii, prayed for all the children of Arochukwu Kingdom, asking that they would never suffer condemnation but instead experience elevation and excellence in all that they do.
Eze Ibom Isii, HRH, Mazi Amos Ngwu Egbu Okoro, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Barrister Uche Uba Okoro, Captain Okey Imuoh, Apostle Joe Paul, Pastor Salvation Oziri, Rev. Kanu James and other notable figures were present during the event.
The highlight of the event was the ministration by Brother Elechi Christian and the distribution of food items to everyone who attended.
