A former Vice-Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Datti Baba Ahmed, has declared that nobody can cause any problem between him and his ex-principal, Peter Obi.
Baba-Ahmed made this statement on Sunday during an interview on ‘Inside Source’ with Laolu Akande, a programme on Channels Television.
He was speaking on the speculation that he has fallen out with the former Governor of Anambra State.
“Let me say that nobody will cause a problem between me and my boss, Peter Obi.
“He can be in any party today. I still have respect for him as someone who governed Anambra State; as someone who doesn’t give shi-shi, and we have mutual respect for each other, so nobody will come between us,” he said.
He was the running mate to Peter Obi, who was the presidential candidate of Labour Party in 2023.
However, ahead of the 2027 general elections, the duo parted ways to different political parties.
While he left for the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Peter Obi defected to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and he is the party’s presidential candidate ahead of next year’s general elections.
