An aggrieved aspirant, Amb. Fubara Dagogo, has filed a lawsuit against his party – All Progressives Congress (APC) – at the Federal High Court, Abuja, alleging unlawful exclusion from its national convention.
Dagogo is vying for the APC National Vice Chairman, South-South, at the party’ national convention slated for Saturday at the Eagle Square, Abuja,
He urged Justice Joyce Abdulmalik to determine whether there could be a legitimate zonal congress for South-South APC with his exclusion after he was duly cleared and paid for his Expression of Interest (EoI) and nomination forms.
Dagogo, in his lawsuit, named the party, its National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, the National Vice Chairman, South-South, Victor Giadom, and the National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muitamma, as respondents in the suit.
He demanded N100 million in compensation for his alleged unlawful exclusion from the convention.
The matter, which was fixed for hearing on Friday could not proceed due to the absence of the judge.
The case, listed as “number 6” on the cause list, was subsequently adjourned till March 30 for mention.
