US-Israel strikes: Trump gives conditions for deal with Iran

United States President, Donald Trump, has set conditions for any possible agreement with Iran following coordinated military strikes carried out by the U.S. and Israel.

The demands were conveyed in a message shared by Trump on Truth Social on Friday.

According to him, the United States would only consider negotiations with Tehran if the Iranian government agreed to unconditional surrender.

He added that a change in Iran’s leadership could follow such a surrender, with the U.S. and its allies expected to support the emergence of leadership considered acceptable by the international community.

He further stated that Iran could eventually become economically stronger if it moved away from its current path.

Trump wrote: “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER! After that, and the selection of a GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s), we, and many of our wonderful and very brave allies and partners, will work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction, making it economically bigger, better, and stronger than ever before. IRAN WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. “MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA)!” Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP.”

The statement came a few days after the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iranian targets last Saturday, a move that marked a sharp escalation in tensions between the countries.

tThe first apparent strike occurred near offices linked to Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, as explosions were reported in several areas and smoke was seen rising above the capital.

Iranian state media confirmed that attacks were recorded in multiple parts of the country. Authorities subsequently shut down airspace and disrupted mobile phone services, while additional explosions were heard across the city.

Trump later confirmed the operation in a video posted online, stating that the United States had begun major combat operations inside Iran.

He accused Tehran of continuing nuclear development and pursuing missile capabilities that could eventually threaten the United States.
