The Lagos State Task Force on the Environment and Other Related Offences, on Monday, confirmed the arrest of seven suspected armed robbers on the Bolade Bridge in Oshodi.
The Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokumbo Wahab, disclosed this on Monday via his X handle (formerly Twitter), describing the arrest as part of the government’s efforts to reclaim public spaces.
The commissioner also said the arrest of the suspected robbers is part of the government’s security and environmental drive.
He identified the arrested suspects as Samuel Olumide, Quadri Oladipupo, Ojo Ifabomi, Tunde Balogun, Dayo Badmus, Adegunlola Tayo, and Simon Michael.
Wahab said: “The arrest is part of our ongoing effort to reclaim public spaces, protect commuters, and dismantle criminal activities that thrive around critical transport corridors.”
