JUST IN: Two die, as Anthony Joshua survives fatal road accident in Ogun

World boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, was involved in a road accident on Monday along the Makun-Ogun corridor of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, which resulted in the death of two persons.

Joshua, however, escaped with minor injuries.

Report said that Joshua’s vehicle – a Lexus SUV marked KRD 850 HN – collided with a stationary truck by the roadside near Danco filling station.

Passersby confirmed that the bodies of two victims were recovered from the wreckage.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Command, has not yet issued an official statement on the accident.

Emergency responders were at the scene managing traffic and assisting with rescue operations, while investigation is said to have been initiated to determine the circumstances leading to the crash.

The accident has drawn widespread attention on social media, with fans expressing relief that Joshua survived, while extending condolences to the families of the deceased.

It is certain who was on the driving wheel at the time of the accident.
