Atani female team (Mmawure Babes) have climbed to top of the league table after beating previous leaders – Ibom – by two un-replied goals.
The Mmawuru Babes opened scoring in the 11th minute when Jersey number 11 – Joyce Olughu – converted a penalty kick.
Emmanuella Okoro in jersey number 13, made it two as she opened her account in the tournament with a well taken goal in the 25th minute.
Ibom tasted its first defeat of the tournament after all efforts to reduce the tally failed.
With this victory, Atani climbed to top of the table with five points plus two goal advantage.
