The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has urged Ekiti State residents to give him 95 percent of their votes in the 2023 general elections.
Tinubu, who was guest of honour at the swearing-in ceremony of Abiodun Oyebanji as Ekiti State governor, made the request while speaking at the occasion.
Tinubu urged the residents to reject his opponents from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and Labour Party’s candidate, Peter Obi, and delivered their votes to him at the 2023 election.
He assured the citizens of a better tomorrow, stating that if elected, his administration will take care of the people of the State including their children.
The APC chieftain charged the crowd gathered at the swearing-in to turn a blind eye to both Atiku and Obi as people they do not know.
“Another election is coming in February. They are coming. One will call himself Atiku, another will call himself Peter Obi. You don’t know them. The only person you know is Bola Ahmed Tinubu and you must deliver to me 95 per cent of the votes,” the APC standard bearer was quoted as saying.
“Don’t be far away, the people that will give you a promise and keep the promise are here. We will take care of you and your children. We will give you a great future. We promise you a better Nigeria. Maybe God Almighty continue to bless us all,” he reportedly added.
