The National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has said he is still consulting over the 2023 election.
Nonetheless, Tinubu said he will not turn down individuals and groups urging him to contest for president.
The former governor of Lagos State spoke in Abuja after meeting behind closed-door with members of the Northern Alliance Committee (NAC).
He maintained that consultations with political stakeholders are still ongoing.
Asked about his rumoured ambition to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari, Tinubu said: “I am still effectively and widely consulting, particularly brainstorming with my friends, to find a suitable date to come out openly and tell Nigerians.”
He stressed: “The president is still in office. I don’t want to distract him from all the challenges that he might face today. So, we will consult and make our programme known to the people later and the intention is clear. So, you keep guessing.”
