2023: I’m mentally, physically sound to serve Nigeria as President, Ohuabunwa assures

The Convener of New Nigeria Group (NNG), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa, has declared that he is sound in body and mind to be President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.

Ohuabunwa made the declaration Wednesday at the Edo State Secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while continuing his nationwide consultation ahead of the party’s primary election.

He expressed optimism that his chances of securing the party’s presidential ticket are high.

The erstwhile Chairman of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) and the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) harped on the experience he had garnered from his numerous travels abroad and seeing how countries without as much human and natural resources as Nigeria are moving up the ladder of development whereas Nigeria is retrogressing.

Ohuabunwa said he decided to offer himself to serve Nigeria, in order to liberate the citizens from the economic deprivation and insecurity among several troubles they are suffering under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

He stressed that he has all the qualities required of anybody aspiring to lead Nigeria out of the doldrums, into an era of prosperity.

He affirmed that his choice of PDP as a platform is informed by the fact that the party, judging from its past achievements while in control of the central government, has a grasp of how to solve the numerous problems afflicting the country.

Leading members of the State Executive of the PDP to receive the presidential hopeful, the Chairman, Dr. Tony Aziegbemi, acknowledged Ohuabunwa’s leadership pedigree as being loaded with capabilities to solve Nigeria’s numerous problems if he gets elected President.

Aziegbemi assured Ohuabunwa of the support of the party’s delegates during the forthcoming national convention where its presidential candidate will be chosen.

Among the State executives of the PDP in attendance at the parley included the Vice-Chairman, Edo South District, Harrison Omagbon, State Publicity Secretary, Chris Nehikhare, and State Organising Secretary, Tony Anenih Jnr.
