2023: Arise O compatriots, take back your country, activist Nwaokobia urges Nigerians

The convener of COUNTRYFIRST MOVEMENT and campaigner for a New Nigeria, Prof Chris Nwaokobia, has urged Nigerians to arise and obey the country’s call as epitomized in the 1st two lines of its National Anthem.

Nwaokobia made the call on Saturday as he felicitated all Nigerians on the Independence day celebration.

Citing the massively attended marches and rallies held on Saturday across various states by the “Obi-dients”, Prof Nwaokobia said that well meaning Nigerians, especially the youth constituency, have “ultimately resolved to build a nation where PEACE and JUSTICE reign.”

Quoting the slogan of the Obi-dients, “Obi-dience is better than sacrifice”, Nwaokobia stated that patriotic Nigerians have opted for Mr. Peter Obi as their choice in the forthcoming 2023 presidential election as he is the only one, among the top four contenders, who was born few months after Independence and would be obedient to the yearnings of millions of Nigerians for a better nation.

He said: “Indeed 2023 is our date with destiny, and I pray and hope that Nigerians will truly and dedicatedly elect OBI-dience over and above ‘leaders’ of ‘sacrifice’. Yes, we do not need such ‘sacrifice’ that brought our nation to the nadir, we need a New Dawn centred on sincere OBI-dience to the pristine values of nationhood.”
